About the Role
We're seeking an experienced and driven
Project Manager
to lead deep foundation and geotechnical construction projects across the Washington, DC area. This is a leadership role with a well-established contractor specializing in complex foundation systems including micropiles, caissons, tiebacks, and support of excavation. You'll be responsible for overseeing all phases of project execution, from planning and scheduling to budget management and team coordination, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within scope.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership:
Manage multiple deep foundation projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company standards. Scheduling & Planning:
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, and vendors. Contract & Budget Management:
Administer contracts, change orders, and vendor agreements; monitor budgets and control costs. Team Collaboration:
Work closely with superintendents, engineers, and support staff to drive project success. Client & Vendor Relations:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and vendors, maintaining strong professional relationships. Quality & Safety Oversight:
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards on all job sites.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. 5-10 years of experience in deep foundation or geotechnical construction. Proven track record managing $5M+ contracts. Experience with systems such as:
Micropiles, driven piles, caissons Secant/tangent piles, soil nails, tiebacks Shotcrete, slurry walls, dam anchors
Strong leadership and supervisory skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel); scheduling software experience a plus. Willingness to travel to project sites as needed. Ability to work in challenging environments including confined spaces, heights, and around heavy equipment.
