Pricing Specialist
Pricing Specialist manages the pricing integrity of the store. Administers price changes and resolves pricing issues. Increases customer confidence and loyalty by promoting and executing consistent and compliant operating conditions. Ensures shelf labels and signs are correct and maintained in all departments including price changes, advertised items, etc. while providing courteous, knowledgeable and prompt service.
Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
KCTB - Kameleon Corrective Tag Batch - % of files read. Stores should be at 80% or above for KCTB compliance.
Weekly Category Scans - Price checks - Completing the weekly category scan test assignment per the schedule.
Responsibilities
Service (40%)
Creates an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated increasing confidence and loyalty. Conducts test scans on categories of merchandise to ensure price accuracy, description, department and taxability. Ensures shelf labels and signs are correct and items without UPC codes are priced. Resolves pricing problems and price file discrepancies.
Financial (30%)
Completes daily and weekly administrative tasks (communications, online training, price file changes, etc.). Reviews/inspects shelf labels and signs for accuracy and takes appropriate action with discrepancies. Assists in the planning, and organizing of the inventory process. Ensures product is held at the proper temperature per food safety guidelines and retains documentation of temperatures per policy.
Leadership (15%)
Promotes trust and respect among associates by collaborating, promoting teamwork, and communicating company, department, and job specific information. Coordinates the effective implementation of store price changes with store management and department management to maintain price integrity and controls. Adheres to all local, state and federal laws, and company guidelines.
Compliance/Safety (15%)
Ensures company standards for safety, proper food handling practices, sanitation and productivity are maintained. Adheres to all regulatory compliance requirements pertaining to food safety, USDA & Country of Origin Labeling (COOL), and Department of Agriculture (DOA). Executes all product recalls and withdrawals in a timely manner while ensuring all items are secured and removed from customer access. Reinforces safety programs by complying with safety procedures and inspects and identifies unsafe conditions to report to store management.
Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age.
Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same.
Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.
Strong customer service skills.
Exceptional interpersonal, motivational and communication skills.
Proficient with computer applications used in effectively operating the department.
Preferred
High School / GED.
Relevant Experience Supervisory Experience.
3 - 6 years minimum.
English. Spanish.
Environmental Factors Retail - General Heavy. Physical Demands: The employee is regularly required to stand or walk on various types of flooring, utilize manual dexterity, talk, see, hear, smell and perform repetitive movements with both hands and/or both feet. The employee is frequently required to reach at waist level or overhead, carry, push, or lift various loads up to the required weights listed. Occasional sitting, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and climbing up to 30 ft. Working Conditions: Indoor, outdoor, cold, freezing, heated, wet/humid. Safety Risk Factors: Twisting back, walking on slippery floor, work with hazardous equipment, exposure to sharp objects, loud noise, irritants, dust, fumes, sprays, hazardous cleaning solutions. Required Equipment: Cleaning supplies, general office equipment, register, pricing gun, scales, scanner, material handling equipment, etc. PPE: Goggles, gloves, back brace. Lifting requirements: 250 lbs. Lifting requirement: 50 lbs.
Travel Occasional. No overnight.
