Position Description The UCLA Department of Radiation Oncology is recruiting a highly motivated individual for a medical physicist faculty position at rank commensurate on experience. Primary responsibilities include providing high-quality clinical physics support across all areas of radiation oncology practice, including treatment planning, IMRT, IGRT, machine commissioning and quality assurance, brachytherapy, and related clinical physics duties.

The candidate will also participate in teaching and supervision of medical physics residents in the CAMPEP‑accredited UCLA Radiation Oncology Therapeutic Medical Physics Residency Program and graduate students in the UCLA Physics and Biology in Medicine Ph.D. Program.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications:

Ph.D. degree or equivalent.

Additional qualifications:

Board certified by the ABR or ABMP or have graduated from a CAMPEP‑accredited therapy physics residency program by the time of hire.
