Overview The Dietary Supervisor‑PRN (On Call) is responsible for supervising dietary staff from the opening to the closing of the Department, ensuring compliance with State and JCAHO standards, maintaining kitchen temperature records, conducting sanitation audits, and promoting life‑saving care for our youngest and most vulnerable patients.

Responsibilities

Maintain proper kitchen temperature records for refrigerators, freezers, dish machine, and pot sink sanitizer concentration.

Conduct periodic kitchen sanitation audits, developing action plans and performing a pre‑service checklist at the beginning of the tray line.

Train, coach, develop, and discipline staff to achieve departmental goals of performance and customer service.

Coach staff on proper job procedures to maintain quality assurance and regulatory compliance, conducting disciplinary discussions as needed.

Promote LifeBridge/Levindale values, supervise staff to advance mission and values, and maintain a kosher kitchen as directed by rabbinical supervisors.

Participate in initiatives to increase resident/patient satisfaction related to meals and dining.

Complete all mandatory in‑service training, open and close the department as scheduled, and mentors staff on safe kitchen procedures.

Order food and paper goods to ensure sufficient quantities for production, minimizing waste, and direct staff to achieve full productivity with minimal overtime or temp agency use.

Qualifications

1‑3 years of experience supervising dietary staff.

High School/GED preferred.
