Senior Network Security Consultant – Verizon
Join Verizon’s consulting services team as a Senior Network Security Consultant and lead network security delivery for global client projects.
What You’ll Be Doing
Act as a technical lead on network security projects, ensuring solutions align with business requirements and governance standards.
Deliver stand‑alone network security projects and support smaller engagements as required.
Provide guidance to consultants working on other network security initiatives.
Review high‑level and detailed design documentation, including HLD and LLD.
Work with internal and external stakeholders to design technical solutions at both high and low levels.
Maintain project billing records and report consultancy time accurately.
Build and grow business contacts within Verizon and partner communities.
Keep your knowledge up to date with the latest network security services practice.
Demonstrate strong presentation and written/verbal communication skills at multiple organization levels.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Four or more years of relevant network security consulting experience.
Expertise with firewalls: Checkpoint, Juniper, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA/FTD, Fortinet.
Proxy services: Bluecoat forward/reverse proxy, Zscaler.
Load balancers: F5 LTM/GTM.
IDP/IPS: FirePower/Sourcefire IPS/IDS, McAfee.
Identity & Access Management: Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass policy manager, CyberArk.
Routing & switching: CCNP/CCNA level; knowledge of SD‑WAN deployments.
Routing and VPN: EIGRP/BGP/OSPF, MPLS, DMVPN, GRE, IPSec VPN.
Remote Access VPN: GlobalProtect, Pulse Secure, Cisco AnyConnect.
Cloud: Azure, AWS, GCP deployments.
Experience designing, reviewing, and maintaining configurations across multiple vendors.
Experience in managed outsourcing and ITIL framework environments.
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve complex technical issues.
Willingness to travel up to 25%.
Nice to Have
Certifications: CCNA/CCNP, CISSP, Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE, Checkpoint CCSA/CCSE, Fortinet NSE, F5 BIG‑IP Administrator, Zscaler ZCCA‑IA, ZCCA‑PA.
Business requirements analysis and solution architect support.
Jira: define user stories, tasks, and estimates.
Agile Scrum experience and process improvement.
