Director of Nursing (DON)
Aviata Healthcare Group is seeking a qualified Director of Nursing to lead clinical management in a resident‑focused, family‑centered facility. The DON will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high‑quality, efficient, and safe patient care.

Major Responsibilities
Provide ongoing education, mentorship, and leadership development to clinical management and clinical staff.
Assume primary responsibility for delivering high‑quality, efficient, and safe patient care and carry out resident care policies in the absence of the Executive Director.
Set and monitor achievement of nursing department goals and objectives consistent with philosophy, standards of practice, and nursing ethics.
Recruit, hire, and retain qualified nursing staff to deliver efficient resident care in accordance with staffing plan and state‑mandated staffing requirements.
Evaluate and continually update competency/skills checklists for nursing staff, including contracted staff.
Prepare and assure adherence to an annual operating budget for the nursing department.
Maintain and guide implementation of current policies and procedures that reflect corporate and external regulatory guidelines and person‑centered care principles.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and ensure resident rights compliance.
Resolve resident grievances and implement innovative, responsible healthcare solutions that continually improve systems and processes.
Qualifications
Current, unencumbered, active Registered Nurse (RN) state license.
Director of Nursing experience in long‑term or skilled nursing facility.
Minimum RN nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
Proven leadership ability with at least two (2) years of nursing services administration experience.
Documented training and/or experience in a setting that serves the same resident population.
Knowledge of management, planning, and budgeting skills.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to facility functions.
Knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance requirements.
Qualified, compassionate, and dedicated to a job well done.
