Inova Children’s Multispecialty Clinic is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Pediatric General and Thoracic Surgery team. Five pediatric surgeons and two APPs provide exceptional, family-centered care to patients from newborn infants through young adults. Job Description
Inova Children’s General and Thoracic Surgery delivers comprehensive care including consultations, evaluations, and surgical treatment for both common and complex conditions. Pediatric surgeons are highly skilled in advanced, minimally invasive procedures designed to reduce pain, minimize recovery time, and improve outcomes for children requiring surgery. Patients seen at Inova L.J. Murphy Children’s Hospital and Inova Children's Multispecialty Clinic. Manage inpatient and outpatient care, including rounding, discharge planning, and coordination of follow-up. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including pediatricians, nurses, anesthesiologists, and other specialists. Communicate effectively with families, ensuring compassionate and clear explanations of care plans. Minimum Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program. Certification: Board Certification and current BLS/ACLS/PALS. Licensure: Licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner; if Nurse Practitioner: RN Compact License (depending on State of residence) AND a license (or eligibility for) as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant in the Commonwealth of Virginia AND a “Practice Agreement” signed by sponsoring/supervising physician(s), AND a written “Scope of Practice/Protocol” signed by the supervising physician, AND “Drug Enforcement Administration License” (if prescribing controlled substances). Payor Credentialing: Ability to successfully complete the credentialing process by third-party payors and be enrolled as a CMS Medicare/Medicaid payor. Medical Staff Credentialing: Successful completion of credentialing for Medical Staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges sufficient to perform all required services. Preferred Qualifications
Experience: Experience with pediatrics is preferred. Education: Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. About Us
