Job Overview We are seeking a On/Off Premise Beer Sales Representative for our San Diego territory. You will work closely with distributor partners and local supplier distributor managers to drive the sale, volume growth, distribution, brand presence, and positioning of the supplier’s portfolio across on‑premise accounts and large or small format off‑premise accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Pursue new opportunities for distribution and impact the local market to upsell, secure multiple SKU distribution, cooler visibility, and displays.
Collaborate with local distributor manager and distributor partner on goals and objectives, and ensure proper product inventory while proactively managing out‑of‑stock issues.
Provide training to accounts on brand/product, including ingredients and pairings, brewing process, history, quality, and current trends.
Maintain store shelf standards and inventory, including rotation of products, checking date codes, processing restocks and reorders according to planogram standards.
Sell‑in and build brand displays according to off‑premise standards.
Execute POS programs to standard.
Assist in executing impactful promotions and educational presentations at accounts, both independently and with team members.
Utilize online database and systems to track all territory progress.
Maintain open communication with field and headquarters.
Manage budget and maintain records for monthly reconciliation.
Ensure compliance of all alcoholic beverage regulations.
Physical Demands
Bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, climbing, kneeling, and stooping to arrange and display point of sale.
Frequent lifting and moving cases of product and other objects of 50 pounds or more.
Key Qualifications
Associates Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Must be 21 years or older.
2–4 years demonstrated sales experience, preferably in beer, wine, or spirits.
Previous retail, on‑premise, or off‑premise work experience is a plus.
Experience as a bartender, waitress, bar management, distributor sales rep, etc. is a plus.
Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Must live in assigned territory with access to reliable transportation – large vehicle preferred.
Must have valid driver's license, registered and insured vehicle with clean driving record/background check.
Must be willing to travel within assigned sales region.
Must be able to lift and move cases of product frequently.
Must be able to climb, kneel, and stoop to arrange and display point of sale.
Must be willing to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Administrative task management with attention to meeting agency compliance guidelines and standards.
Compensation & Benefits The base compensation for this role is $68,640.00 annually. This position offers bonus‑eligible compensation plus full benefits, including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k with match, PTO, and more.
