Senior Client Manager – EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants
Join our fast‑growing insurance brokerage to lead client relationships, drive new business, and manage a portfolio of high‑value clients in the San Antonio, Texas market.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as the primary expert resource and first point of contact for clients, handling coverage and eligibility, contractual issues, and government compliance.
Analyze client data and conduct market comparisons to provide coverage recommendations and negotiate premium and commission rates on behalf of clients.
Support producers with marketing and new business development, preparing presentations, proposals, and participating in prospect meetings.
Manage employee communication and open enrollment process, maintaining expert knowledge of benefit products and keeping clients advised on government reporting compliance.
Participate in sales presentations, collaborate with other team members, and work efficiently within production timelines.
Personal and Organizational Development
Set priorities, manage workflow, and maintain up-to-date proposals and benefit information.
Communicate effectively, cooperate purposefully, and provide guidance to achieve business, profitability, and retention goals.
Stay informed on industry information, new product developments, coverage, legislation, and technology.
Present yourself in a manner that reflects the company’s values and professionalism, especially in client or public‑facing situations.
Key Competencies
Establish and maintain the primary, ongoing benefits service relationship with clients.
Assess clients’ plan objectives and develop a comprehensive client service delivery program.
Analyze financial data and model program alternatives, advising clients of recommended strategy.
Negotiate with carriers and vendors on clients’ behalf to provide cost‑effective solutions.
Qualifications
College degree preferred or related experience required.
Five or more years’ experience as an Account Manager with a benefits consulting or brokerage firm, or comparable experience with a medical carrier.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and presentation software.
Ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and work in a fast‑paced environment.
High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations; teamwork, poise, tact, and diplomacy are essential.
Texas Life and Health License required.
Compensation Base salary range: $120,000.00 – $130,000.00. Salary will be determined based on experience, skills, training, certifications, and education, as well as internal equity and market data.
