Full-Time Foster Care Visitation Coach
to supervise and support family visits for children in foster care throughout
Southwest Michigan: Berrien Springs, Niles, Buchanan area
In this essential role, you’ll create safe, structured environments where children and their families can rebuild trust and strengthen relationships. Your guidance will help ensure each visit is meaningful, respectful, and focused on the child’s well-being.
Required Availability:
Flexible schedule to include
at least two days per week
during
afternoon and evening hours
Compensation:
$15/hour
Mileage reimbursement
for travel between visit locations

Duties and Responsibilities
Using a strengths-based model, coach parents on needed parenting skills by modeling, instructing, and prompting
Assist parents in identifying their goals for visitations and follow up to review progress and reinforce strengths
Intervene as necessary to ensure child safety and ensure content of conversations is appropriate
Provide transportation for foster children to and from family visits
Supervise children during appointments either at home, office or at other appropriate sites
Observe parent/child interactions and closely document. Report strengths and concerns to the social worker with case responsibility
Provide auxiliary services related to center’s foster care program in accordance with center, division, organization, and contract requirements
Job Qualifications Education, Training, and Licensure/Certification
Associate’s degree in human services or related field required or high school degree and 2 years of experience in a human services field
Experience
Knowledge of child development
1 year of experience in a day care setting or school setting strongly preferred
Additional Work Requirements
Valid unrestricted driver’s license with good driving record preferred. Valid proof of automobile insurance preferred.
Use of a reliable, safe and clean vehicle.
Ability to work a flexible schedule or nontraditional hours.
