Patient Service Representative / Cosmetics Treatment Coordinator (BSI San Francisco) About Berman Skin Institute (BSI) Founded a quarter century ago by David Berman, MD, a board‑certified dermatologist, Berman Skin Institute (BSI) blends state‑of‑the‑art medical technology and research with a dedication to patient care and healing. With eleven clinics across Northern California, BSI offers broad dermatologic services including medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, skin care products, and medi‑spa/aesthetician treatments.

BSI is home to one of the largest skin laser centers in the world with over 50 lasers on site, plus advanced devices such as ARTAS robots for hair transplant. Our mission is simple: deliver exceptional results while prioritizing the patient experience.

Key Responsibilities Patient Experience & Clinic Coordination

Be the first face and voice of BSI—welcome patients warmly in person and on the phone.

Educate patients on medical dermatology and the full range of cosmetic services and products.

Coordinate patient scheduling to ensure smooth clinic flow and timely care.

Communicate effectively with providers and clinical staff to support patient care.

Sales & Cosmetic Service Promotion

Proactively recommend and upsell cosmetic treatments (injectables, lasers, peels, facials, etc.) and skincare products tailored to patient goals.

Meet or exceed monthly cosmetic sales and conversion targets.

Stay up to date on BSI promotions and aesthetic packages to maximize revenue opportunities.

Conduct follow‑up calls to encourage repeat treatments, package renewals, and product purchases.

Administrative Support

Collect and update insurance, demographic, and payment information.

Verify insurance eligibility for medical visits.

Process payments, daily deposits, and end‑of‑day balancing.

Manage multi‑line phones and schedule appointments in the EMR system.

Assist with inventory for skincare products and office supplies.

Clinical Support (as needed)

Provide post‑treatment instructions per physician’s orders.

Support in‑office emergencies per clinic policy.

Qualifications And Experience

2+ years’ experience in a medical office, cosmetic clinic, or high‑volume customer service/sales setting preferred.

Strong sales or retail experience (cosmetic, spa, or skincare sales highly desirable).

Enthusiastic about dermatology and skincare—you probably have your own skincare drawer at home!

Excellent communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.

A reliable, upbeat, and team‑oriented professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment.

Must be available to work some Saturdays.
