Senior Recruiting Consultant for Startup Biotech About us:

Braveheart Bio is a Bay Area–based biopharmaceutical company pioneering best-in-class therapies for cardiovascular disease. Our lead program is a next-generation myosin inhibitor, licensed from Hengrui Pharma, being developed to transform the treatment of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM)—the most common inherited cardiac disease.

Currently in Phase 3 clinical development in China for the more common obstructive form of HCM, our candidate has demonstrated a compelling clinical profile that may position it as a best-in-class therapy with meaningful differentiation.

With a proven leadership team, a strong financial foundation, and a high-value late-stage asset, Braveheart Bio represents an outstanding opportunity for ambitious, mission-driven professionals to make a tangible impact in a high-profile and rapidly evolving therapeutic area.

The role:

The Executive Assistant will provide direct support to our Chief Executive Officer and additional support to other senior leaders across the company. As one of the earliest members of our small, fast-moving team, the Executive Assistant will play an essential role in ensuring the CEO’s time and priorities are effectively managed, helping to drive strategic and operational initiatives forward. Traditional EA responsibilities such as complex calendar management, travel booking and expense reporting will be very important, and a positive willingness to jump in wherever needed, will be a great fit for the team.

Key responsibilities:

Provide high-level administrative support to the CEO and other senior leaders across Braveheart.

Proactive calendar management, meeting prioritization, and follow-up coordination.

Manage complex domestic and international travel arrangements, ensuring efficient itineraries and seamless logistics.

Prepare and process expense reports accurately and promptly.

Serve as a trusted liaison between the CEO, internal teams, board members, investors, and external partners.

Support preparation for Board of Directors meetings, executive presentations, and other leadership forums—including materials, logistics, and coordination.

Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

Assist with team communications, project tracking, and cross-functional coordination to ensure operational excellence.

Proactively anticipate needs, identify solutions, and take initiative to streamline processes in support of Braveheart Bio’s mission and leadership team.

Manage logistics and planning for onsite and offsite meetings with internal and external team members.

Required experience & skills:

Prior experience supporting C-level executives in a fast-paced, professional environment.

Experience working in a small company.

Proven ability to manage complex calendars, coordinate multi-leg travel, and handle expense management independently.

Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Sound judgment, discretion and professionalism.

Comfortable operating with a high degree of ambiguity and shifting priorities.

Proficiency using productivity tools such as Microsoft Office, Zoom/Teams, and travel/expense management systems.

Ability to be onsite regularly in San Francisco.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Flexible, adaptable, proactive, self-motivated and hands-on mindset with a roll‑up‑your‑sleeves, can‑do attitude.

Preferred experience & skills:

Direct experience supporting a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is strongly preferred.

Experience supporting a CEO or executive team in an early-stage startup, ideally in the life sciences or biotech sector.

Experience working in fast‑paced, high‑growth environments.

Prior experience interacting with a Board of Directors.

Familiarity with the dynamics of venture‑backed organizations or small, entrepreneurial teams.
