NBC Universal
Company Description
NBCUniversal is one of the world's leading media and entertainment companies. We create world-class content, which we distribute across our portfolio of film, television, and streaming, and bring to life through our theme parks and consumer experiences. We own and operate leading entertainment and news brands, including NBC, NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC, NBC Sports, Telemundo, NBC Local Stations, Bravo, USA Network, and Peacock, our premium ad-supported streaming service. We produce and distribute premier filmed entertainment and programming through Universal Filmed Entertainment Group and Universal Studio Group, and have world-renowned theme parks and attractions through Universal Destinations & Experiences. NBCUniversal is a subsidiary of Comcast Corporation.
Job Description As a Sr. Manager of Data Strategy, you will be responsible for executing NBCUniversal's most strategic, data-enabled initiatives. The ideal candidate has expertise in data strategy across a complex corporate structure, with experience working both strategically and tactically across the data, media and technology lifecycles. They should be able to join a conversation and relate the impact of data to the objectives of partner cross-functional teams throughout the business, including but not limited to Marketing, Products, Technology, and Growth. Expertise in developing and managing business-driven data applications and products is a plus, as well as proficiency in generative AI analysis and use case definition, with the ability to apply AI techniques to real-world business problems.
A true chameleon, this role moves seamlessly between business strategy, data analytics, data enablement, program teams, and executive leadership, balancing the operational challenges of the group against the desired business outcomes necessary for success. You will independently consume subject matter, timelines, dependencies, and artifacts from teams across the organization to create a result greater than the sum of the interconnected parts. You will thrive in ambiguity, translating concepts into well-communicated and actionable plans that meet measurable outcomes required to operate a media business. As a deep listener, your success will hinge on hearing what others miss rather than having the loudest voice.
This role will specifically have responsibility governing the Media Group's GenAI prioritization and execution strategy, ensuring alignment with enterprise governance and funding. The role spans strategic visioning, initiative valuation, and operational delivery-all with an eye toward driving measurable business outcomes. With Business Fluency & Judgment, you will independently connect business strategy to outcomes, understand related data and analysis on the latest initiatives, and articulate the "why" behind the work.
