Senior Research Engineer - Process Design

Job Description
Lead the design and implementation of new or modified process components or equipment.
Identify or develop new polymer processing technologies for a variety of products including nonwoven materials.
Collaborate across 3M to ensure a successful scale‑up from laboratory to manufacturing.
Communicate and document research results to team members, business partners, and technology stakeholders.
Your Skills and Expertise
Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering discipline.
Two years of industrial experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
Additional Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or related discipline.
Five years of experience with CAD software and equipment component/system design.
Experience with polymer processing equipment.
Creative and collaborative mindset.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Work Location
3M Center, Maplewood MN
Travel May include up to 10% domestic/international travel.
Compensation Range Expected compensation range is $122,292 – $149,468, inclusive of base pay and variable incentive pay.
