VP, US Public Sector Sales Leader

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is hiring a Vice President to lead and grow our public sector sales organization across defense, intelligence, national security, civilian, systems integrators, and state and local & higher education accounts. The role is based in Washington, DC and requires U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a security clearance. Responsibilities

Lead and manage a public sector sales organization, inspiring high performance, coaching, and attracting top talent. Drive growth strategies, managing pipeline and executing large, transformational pursuits with a focus on delivering results in complex, multi-year projects. Foster and maintain strategic relationships with federal agencies, decision-makers, system integrators, and public sector resellers, acting as a trusted advisor. Develop and implement sales strategies that ensure optimal coverage across direct and partner sales channels, navigating federal procurement processes. Lead consultative, solution-driven sales efforts to address client business needs, creating compelling business cases and closing high-value deals. Stay informed on public sector trends, procurement regulations, and IT modernization initiatives to identify opportunities and guide strategic decision-making. Skills & Experience

Proven ability to inspire, motivate, and develop high-performing teams; experience managing large, matrixed organizations. Deep knowledge of U.S. public sector missions, operations, and government procurement processes, including compliance and contracts. Established network with key federal decision-makers, system integrators, and resellers; strong consultative relationship building. Demonstrated success leading large, multi-year transformational pursuits and securing consistent federal revenue growth. Strategic thinking with ability to analyze market dynamics, develop counter-strategies, and influence stakeholders in a matrixed environment. Resilience, strong problem-solving, ability to navigate complex regulatory landscape, and maintain focus on long-term objectives. Additional Skills
