Responsibilities

Create and modify CNC programs using Mastercam for milling operations.

Set up and operate CNC milling machines (3-axis and/or 4/5-axis, depending on equipment).

Select appropriate tools, speeds, and feeds for machining operations.

Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.

Perform first-article and in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, indicators, etc.).

Troubleshoot programming or machining issues to ensure quality and efficiency.

Maintain accurate records of jobs, tooling, and set-ups.

Ensure machines are properly maintained and cleaned.

Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a safe and clean work environment.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC milling and programming.

Proficient in Mastercam for creating and editing CNC programs.

Proficient in using 3D model software to develop milling programs.

Strong knowledge of G-code.

Experience reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and GD&T.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with multi-axis CNC milling machines.

Familiarity with other CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360).

Experience in a high-mix, low-volume production environment.

Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
