Overview
SAP Production Planning Consultant – Various Locations – Contract Position – $49.51-$62.01/Hour Join a global leader in aerospace innovation where cutting-edge technology meets groundbreaking projects in aviation, defense, and space exploration. Facilitate solutioning workshops and define SAP PP processes based on business requirements. Collaborate with business SMEs, architects, developers, and system integrators to optimize SAP systems and integrations. Recommend and implement complex SAP PP configurations, with full-cycle documentation and system updates. Translate functional specifications into detailed application design documents and coordinate with ABAP teams. Lead testing activities: unit testing, integration testing, and test documentation (plans and scripts). Resolve defects during testing cycles through root cause analysis and corrective action. Develop and manage WRICEF objects in collaboration with development teams. Work within SAP Solution Manager to manage project deliverables and documentation. Support project delivery using SAP Activate methodology and Agile (SAFe) practices. Utilize SAP FIORI applications and modern SAP PP tools and features. Contribute to project planning, status reporting, and milestone tracking. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field. Active or previous SAP certifications in SAP PS or S/4HANA preferred. 8–10 years’ SAP experience, with 8+ years in SAP Production Planning, including 1+ full-cycle S/4HANA implementation. Expertise in:
SAP S/4HANA roadmap and version differences. SAP PP processes: material master, MRP types, lot sizing, backflush, BOMs, work centers, routing, and strategy groups. Interface handling, user exits, batch jobs, and standard SAP reporting.
Experience with:
SAP PS (Project Systems), WBS elements. SAP FIORI apps for Production Planning. Aerospace and Defense industry (highly preferred).
Knowledge of SAP PP integration with Sales, Procurement, Costing, Quality, and Plant Maintenance. Understanding of special planning procedures, interchangeability, serial number management, and ECM/OCM. Familiarity with SAP PPDS (Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling) and SAP Quality Management (QM) is a plus. Moseley Technical Services, Inc. is an AA/EEO/Veterans/Disabled Employer.
