Who will you be working with? Wabtec’s Digital Intelligence Signaling & Systems Engineering team is recognized as an industry leader in the successful delivery of complex integrated system projects, involving signaling, train control, communications, and back-office solutions with a strong focus on project execution, project management, schedule adherence and customer satisfaction. We are looking for a Technical Project Manager.
How will you make a difference? As a member of Wabtec’s Digital Intelligence Signaling & Systems group, you will be the lead of our UPRR projects. This position will work closely with the managers and signal engineers executing the UPRR portfolio. The role requires coordination with business leaders to not only coordinate all UPRR signaling projects to maximize profitability, delivering on time and on budget, meeting all contractual requirements, and satisfying our customers with the utmost quality, but also to work on continuous growth of the account.
Typical day
Collaborate with director, managers and UPRR, monitor UPRR project success against the targets cost, margin, schedule, manning, and customer requirements and make required adjustments to meet project internal expectations.
Manage and evaluate workflow and productivity, making changes where necessary.
Driving high level technical engagement with customer.
Manage technical project scope changes and partner with staff and managers on business reviews.
Adhere to customer and industry standards / specifications, while keeping within DI S&S /Wabtec’s quality standards.
Work with director and managers to identify qualified resource needs for the successful completion of projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent work experience.
5-8 years’ experience in railway industry (Signals, Communications, OCS, Traction Power).
3-5 years’ experience in Project Management.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
Strong competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Working Conditions Duties will involve working primarily indoors in an office environment but may be subject to periodic travel as required. Wabtec will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the U.S. for this opening. Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a drug screen (as applicable) and fitness for duty test (as applicable).
The salary range for this role is between $89,100.00-$126,900.00. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. More information on offered benefits, which include health, welfare, and retirement, are available at mywabtecbenefits.com. Other benefit offerings for this role may include an annual bonus, if eligible.
