What The Role Is Reporting to the Director, Operations Procurement, the O&M Procurement Manager leads commercial negotiations for O&M contracts and service agreements supporting Operations, Asset Management, and Development across Clearway’s renewable pipeline. The Manager works closely with internal and external stakeholders to structure project agreements, negotiate contracts aligned with Clearway Energy’s commercial objectives, and manage risk within commercial and risk management guidelines. This position reports to the Director, Operations Procurement and can be based in Scottsdale, AZ, San Francisco, CA, San Diego, CA, Houston, TX, or Denver, CO. The Scottsdale, AZ office is the preferred location.
What You’ll Be Doing
Develop, evaluate, negotiate, execute, and manage a wide variety of operational and long‑term service agreement contracts
Maximize the value of existing O&M agreements through close collaboration with Procurement, Asset Management, and Operations departments
Lead a team of three sourcing specialists supporting operational scopes and transactions
Create and maintain relationships with suppliers and serve as the singular point of contact for contract matters for Clearway’s portfolio of operating wind, solar, and battery storage projects
Maintain records of correspondence and documentation related to established contracts and those in progress
Communicate and present information and sourcing recommendations to stakeholders about all contract‑related matters
Assist stakeholders with contract interpretation and support escalation of key contractual terms internally and externally
Manage relationships with key vendors and suppliers performing under long‑term service agreements
Monitor contracts and move forward with close‑out, extension, or renewal of key operating agreements
Resolve any contract‑related problems that arise externally and internally
Ensure the organization’s internal contract documents are accurate and well‑maintained
Provide active support and inputs on new potential business opportunities with new long‑term service agreement providers
Identify opportunities to improve business processes and devise plans to implement these changes with key stakeholders
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, supply chain management, or procurement
Three (3) or more years of O&M or asset management contracting experience
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the business and industry, and a solid understanding of legal concepts
Comfortable working as part of a cross‑functional team
People‑management or related leadership experience
Strong attention to detail, superior organizational skills, and agility to manage multiple projects with shifting timelines
Must have strong computer skills and knowledge of common programs such as Microsoft Office
Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated emotional intelligence, logic, and reason in resolving conflicts and solving business problems
Capable of comprehending the company’s risk appetite and ensuring contracts reflect such risk position
What Would Be Nice
Energy industry experience – renewables (solar, wind, and energy storage)
Strong analytical skills, including net present value (NPV) or internal rate of return (IRR) analyses
SAP S4 HANA and/or SAP Ariba experience
Clearway will not sponsor non‑immigrant visas for this position (H‑1B, TN, E‑3, etc.).
The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, relevant and demonstrated experience, education, training and certifications, and other factors permitted by law. This role is eligible to earn an annual cash bonus, subject to personal and company performance goals.
Salary Range Across all U.S. Locations $105,000—$145,000 USD
