Overview
We are seeking an accomplished Employment Defense Attorney with at least four years of litigation experience to join our legal team in California. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in employment law, exceptional advocacy skills, and a commitment to achieving the best outcomes for clients. Core Responsibilities
Case Oversight:
Manage a variety of employment-related defense cases, including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, wage and hour disputes, and other workplace claims. Litigation Management:
Handle all stages of litigation—from pleadings and discovery through trial and appeal, when required. Client Engagement:
Provide timely, strategic advice while maintaining consistent communication regarding case progress and strategy. Legal Research & Documentation:
Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, discovery responses, and other supporting documents. Court Representation:
Participate in hearings, mediations, depositions, arbitrations, and trials as appropriate. Negotiation:
Lead settlement discussions and utilize alternative dispute resolution methods to secure favorable resolutions. Team Collaboration:
Work closely with fellow attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to maintain efficiency and high client service standards. Required Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Active membership with the California State Bar. Minimum of 4 years' experience in employment defense litigation. Strong knowledge of California and federal court procedures. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to manage a substantial caseload under deadlines. Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills. Capable of working independently as well as within a team setting. High attention to detail and dedication to quality legal work. Preferred Background
Experience handling class action and complex litigation matters. Prior trial experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to build lasting client relationships. Compensation and Benefits
Salary:
$130,000 – $230,000, commensurate with background and experience. Benefits:
