Human Resources Generalist Opportunity The
HR Generalist
is a vital part of Arbour Hospital’s human resources and operations team. This is a full‑time, Monday – Friday, 40‑hour per week position.
Arbour Hospital provides behavioral health services, including primary psychiatric and substance abuse disorders, treating the greater Boston area since 1909.
Job Description Responsibilities
Provide human resources support to the facility by managing all personnel issues within corporate policies and procedures and all federal and state guidelines.
Prepare personnel files and maintain personnel records in accordance with facility and corporate personnel policies and guidelines.
Provide consultation and training to facility management regarding employee relations issues, counseling and termination procedures as required.
Respond to all employee complaints in a professional manner, and assist with conducting preliminary investigations.
Respond quickly to all unemployment compensation claims, workers’ compensation claims, and employee accident reports.
Develop and monitor procedures to assure the timely and accurate processing, flow and documentation of personnel transactions (LAWSON).
Conduct orientation trainings to all new hires.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s strongly preferred.
Minimum 3-4 years of experience in a similar position.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills. Must be detail oriented and able to multi‑task and change direction quickly.
Requires advanced computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with HRIS System(s) desired (e.g. LAWSON).
Healthcare HR experience preferred.
