Assistant Director of Nursing (Staff Educator)
Join the leadership team at Seagate Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. The role combines administrative and clinical leadership with a strong focus on staff development and education.
Base Pay Range $140,000 per year
Location and Shift Brooklyn, New York | Full-Time | Day Shift
Key Responsibilities
Support the Director of Nursing in managing day-to-day operations of the nursing department.
Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive staff education and training programs.
Conduct orientation and onboarding for new nursing staff.
Deliver in-service training and continuing education to ensure regulatory compliance.
Assess staff competencies, monitor clinical performance, and provide coaching and mentorship.
Participate in quality assurance initiatives, audits, and performance improvement projects.
Uphold infection control, resident safety, and evidence-based nursing practices.
Serve as a clinical role model, fostering professionalism, teamwork, and excellence in care.
Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
BSN preferred; advanced degree a plus.
Minimum 3-5 years of nursing leadership experience in a long‑term care setting.
Prior experience in staff education, clinical instruction, or training strongly preferred.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and nursing standards of practice.
