Lead Full Stack Engineer – LivCor
LivCor, a Blackstone portfolio company, is a real estate asset management business specializing in multi‑family housing. We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Full‑Stack Engineer to join our dynamic data team in Chicago, IL.
What You’ll Do
Design, develop, and maintain server‑side logic using .NET (C#) and React with Vite.
Build and optimize RESTful APIs and micro‑services for seamless integration with front‑end applications.
Work with relational and NoSQL databases, ensuring data integrity and performance.
Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms (e.g., OAuth).
Develop responsive, interactive user interfaces using React.js and related libraries (Redux, React Router).
Ensure cross‑browser compatibility and optimize front‑end performance.
Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes into functional components.
Integrate front‑end and back‑end components to create cohesive, end‑to‑end solutions.
Troubleshoot and debug issues across the stack to ensure application reliability and performance.
Write clean, maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, retrospectives).
Work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver features on time and within scope.
Contribute to code reviews, ensuring high‑quality code and knowledge sharing within the team.
Optimize applications for scalability, performance, and security.
Participate in the evaluation and adoption of new tools, frameworks, and methodologies.
What You Should Have
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years professional experience in full‑stack development with C# and .NET.
Strong proficiency in React.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.
Experience with ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework, and RESTful API development.
Solid understanding of relational databases (SQL Server) and efficient SQL queries.
Familiarity with front‑end tools and frameworks (Webpack, npm/yarn, CSS preprocessors).
Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Nice to Have
Experience with Azure Service Fabric or similar microservices platforms.
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and cloud‑based deployment strategies.
Understanding of unit, integration, and end‑to‑end testing practices.
Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Soft Skills
Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
A growth mindset and eagerness to learn and adapt.
Benefits We offer competitive pay that is commensurate with the market and relevant experience, and a full slate of benefits including health insurance, retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off. The position is eligible for discretionary bonus and incentive compensation on an annual basis.
Base Compensation Range $140,000.00 – $165,000.00 annually. This represents the anticipated low and high end of LivCor’s base compensation range for this position. Actual base compensation range may vary based on location and experience.
