Our client, a rapidly growing manufacturing company modernizing its technology operations, is seeking a
Lead Azure DevOps Engineer
to drive cloud automation, CI/CD optimization, and platform scalability across the enterprise. This is a key technical leadership role with high visibility and impact as the organization continues its digital transformation journey.
This role is hybrid with 3 days a week onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of Azure DevOps pipelines supporting application build, test, and deployment.
Define and enforce best practices for CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and environment management across multiple development teams.
Collaborate with software engineering, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure reliability, performance, and compliance within Azure environments.
Manage and optimize Azure resources including AKS, App Services, Azure SQL, Storage Accounts, and networking components.
Implement and maintain automation using tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, and PowerShell.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot production issues, and guide root cause analysis for pipeline or infrastructure failures.
Mentor junior engineers and champion DevOps culture throughout the organization.
Partner with leadership to plan and execute modernization initiatives including containerization and microservices adoption.
Qualifications:
6+ years of experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering, with at least 3+ years focused on Azure DevOps.
Strong knowledge of Azure cloud infrastructure, networking, and security.
Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM).
Hands‑on experience building CI/CD pipelines using YAML and Azure Repos or GitHub Actions.
Familiarity with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes/AKS).
Scripting experience in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills, with proven ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives.
Preferred Experience:
Experience supporting enterprise‑scale manufacturing or industrial systems.
Exposure to monitoring/observability tools (App Insights, Log Analytics, Grafana, etc.).
Knowledge of DevSecOps and automation for compliance and governance.
