Product Solutions Engineer – Alpha Vision
Alpha Vision is transforming security with AI‑driven automation, shifting surveillance from passive monitoring to real‑time intelligence and proactive protection.
What Excites You
Working customer‑backwards to use video data for real safety, security, and operational outcomes
Evangelizing a modern AI video platform and establishing technical credibility with security, IT, and operations stakeholders
Owning ambiguous problems, building scrappy prototypes/POCs, and iterating rapidly to win market share
Making a big impact at a fast‑moving company
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
Own technical wins
across the sales cycle: discovery, architecture, demos, trials/POCs, success criteria, and handoff to implementation
Lead trials
that prove value, define KPIs, success plans, and timelines; instrument metrics (alert precision/recall, time‑to‑detect, investigation time saved)
Design integrations
with customer systems (VMS, access control, dispatch, SIEM, ticketing, messaging) using REST APIs, webhooks, and SDKs
Triage and solve
network/video issues (RTSP/ONVIF streams, camera compatibility, bandwidth, storage, latency, SSO) in partnership with Support & Engineering
Partner with AEs
on RFPs/RFIs: write technical responses, solution diagrams, compliance matrices, and bill‑of‑materials
Deliver compelling demos
tailored to safety/security/ops personas; create reusable demo assets and data sets
Gather product feedback
from the field; influence roadmap with clear problem statements and impact
Enable our partners
(resellers/integrators) with playbooks, architectures, and demo environments

Strong fundamentals in IP networking (L2/L3, VLANs, NAT, firewall rules, QoS, DHCP/DNS, PoE) and comfort with Linux/CLI
Practical experience with video technologies: cameras, VMS, RTSP/ONVIF, recording/retention, frame rates/bitrates, edge vs. cloud tradeoffs
Clear, confident communication from frontline operators to CIOs; excellent demo skills and written documentation
Proven success running enterprise trials/POCs with measurable outcomes
Nice‑to‑haves
Experience in public sector or regulated environments (state & local government, transit, education, utilities)
Familiarity with common VMS and camera ecosystems (e.g., Genetec, Milestone, Cisco Meraki, Axis)
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), containerization, and observability basics
Background in computer vision/ML concepts (object detection, re‑ID, false positive/negative tradeoffs) and model evaluation
Understanding of physical security workflows (incident response, SOC operations, access control, alarms)
How We Measure Success
Trial conversion rate and time‑to‑value
Deployment readiness (clear architectures, BOMs, and success plans)
Customer satisfaction (CSAT/NPS) during evaluation and handoff
Quality of field feedback that shapes roadmap and accelerates wins
