Job Type Full‑time with flexible scheduling for evenings and weekends.
Description The Lead Server oversees the front‑of‑house service team to ensure guests receive an exceptional dining experience at the ALBA Bar & Cafe on the Napa River waterfront.
A day in the life This full‑time position requires high energy, attention to detail, a welcoming personality, and a big smile. Work a flexible schedule with some weekend and evening shifts.
Service Leadership
Lead by example in providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests.
Ensure service standards, steps of service, and guest satisfaction goals are consistently met.
Team Support & Training
Train and mentor new servers on menu knowledge, service techniques, and POS system use.
Act as the first point of contact for server questions or guest concerns during shifts.
Operational Duties
Assist with daily opening and closing duties, including section setup, side work, and shift checklists.
Coordinate with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth communication and service flow.
Monitor table assignments and assist in managing guest seating when necessary.
Guest Experience
Handle guest complaints or special requests professionally and promptly.
Maintain awareness of VIP guests, dietary restrictions, and special events.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
Support management in inventory, restocking, and ordering supplies as needed.
