Overview Of The Company
Fox Television Stations owns and operates 29 full‑power broadcast television stations across the United States, serving 14 of the top 15 largest media markets and operating duopolies in 11 of those markets. 18 of the stations are affiliated with the FOX Network.
Collectively, these stations produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news each week and distribute FOX Network’s national content, sports, entertainment, and syndicated programming.
Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Write stories and build graphic elements for news broadcasts and streaming content under tight deadlines.
Coordinate live coverage of news events and participate in the selection and development of stories for broadcast and streaming programming.
Create content for online, mobile, and social media platforms.
Write and coordinate live shots and live talk‑back interviews for broadcast and streaming programming.
Write and coordinate interviews and field package shoots as needed.
Assist in the control room during newscasts.
Assist with field crew communication and coordination for broadcast and streaming programming.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Strong skills in writing conversational broadcast copy incorporating appropriate visual elements under daily deadline pressure.
Proficient in English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and politely with the public in person and over the phone.
Willingness to learn newsroom computer systems post‑hire.
Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university preferred.
One year of producing or newsgathering experience for broadcast at a commercial television station preferred.
Experience in editing video segments for broadcast is a plus.

Benefits and Pay Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate for this role is $27.88–$29.07 per hour, depending on education, skills, experience, and location. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
