Job Summary
The Dual General Manager is the polished ambassador for the two hotels they support. They are responsible for all operational aspects of their assigned properties, ensuring financial performance is optimized, high quality service levels are maintained, and all regulations and brand standards are complied with.
Key Responsibilities
Lead operational initiatives such as sales planning, budget development, and execution of physical property improvement projects.
Provide hands‑on leadership to maximize revenue while controlling expenses.
Communicate with guests, associates, ownership, corporate representatives, brand representatives, and key vendors.
Supervise and guide management teams and front‑line associates.
Maintain compliance with state, federal, and local regulations and with Company and brand standards.
Conduct weekly staff meetings, training sessions, and monthly financial reviews.
Oversee property inspections, preventive maintenance programs, and safe audits.
Drive sales efforts, including calling top accounts, hosting luncheons, and meeting on‑site contacts.
Review financial position, analyze data to generate accurate reforecast, and manage performance appraisals.
Motivate, coach, counsel, and discipline all management personnel according to SOPs and ensure equitable treatment of all employees.
Qualifications
At least 6 years progressive experience in a hotel or related field; or 4‑year college degree with 4‑5 years of related experience; or 2‑year college degree with 5‑6 years of related experience.
Proficient in Windows operating systems, Company‑approved spreadsheets, and word processing.
Valid driver’s license for the applicable state.
Strong leadership, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Ability to convey information and ideas clearly and evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
Comfortable working in high‑pressure, stressful situations while maintaining composure and objectivity.
Effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
Skill in assimilating complex information from disparate sources and adjusting to meet constraints of particular needs.
Proficient in financial data, basic arithmetic functions, and listening to and resolving concerns of coworkers and guests.
