Responsibilities The role focuses on accelerating the adoption of secure, compliant database cloud services across public‑sector organizations worldwide. Responsibilities include driving business development activities, shaping and executing go‑to‑market (GTM) programs, supporting product and service commercialization, and collaborating cross‑functionally to advance offerings based on evolving government priorities, compliance requirements, and strategic initiatives. The incumbent must adapt to priority shifts on a quarterly basis.

Business Development

Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities for Oracle Database Cloud services within federal, state, local, and education (SLED) markets, as well as global public‑sector segments.

Build and maintain strong relationships with public‑sector sales teams, customers, and partners to drive awareness and adoption of Oracle’s cloud database services worldwide.

Conduct market research to understand emerging trends, funding priorities, and technology needs of government and public entities.

Collaborate with OCI compliance, and security teams to ensure all strategies and engagements meet public‑sector regulatory approval requirements.

Go‑To‑Market (GTM)

Develop and refine go‑to‑market strategies tailored to the specific needs, compliance requirements, and sales plays targeting global public‑sector customers across SLED, provincial and federal micro‑segments.

Work closely with sales, marketing, and partner teams to design and implement targeted campaigns, enablement activities, and public‑sector events.

Create and localize messaging, positioning, and collateral that effectively communicate the business value and differentiation of Oracle Database Cloud services for public‑sector use cases.

Track GTM initiatives and measure their effectiveness, adjusting tactics to maximize impact and achieve adoption goals based on feedback and consumption results.

Qualifications

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or an MBA (preferred).

10+ years of relevant professional experience in program / product management.

Exceptional ability to negotiate and collaborate across groups to achieve customer success.

Customer focus with experience working with large government customers and partners.

Experience with cloud platform technologies and understanding of how to apply them to real‑world problems (required).

Prior product management or technical leadership role with a cloud platform technology provider (strongly preferred).

Strong technical background in public cloud (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS).

Extensive technical knowledge of the modern government cloud market across public, private, and hybrid platforms.

Working knowledge of government compliance programs and requirements.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Previous experience as a product manager and/or sales engineer.

Oracle product (cloud and/or on‑premise) experience is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits US: Hiring Range in USD from: $82,500 – $199,500 per year. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
