Program Director - Federal and State Grant Funding Louisiana Special School District

is seeking an experienced leader for a critical leadership role within the Business Office. This unclassified exempt position (Position #50691634) will oversee grant and contract functions for the Louisiana School for the Deaf, Louisiana School for the Visually Impaired, and Special School Programs.

Overview As the chief liaison with district departments and external stakeholders, the Program Director will manage all aspects of state and federal grants, contracts, leases, and cooperative endeavors. The incumbent must possess thorough knowledge of the Louisiana Procurement Code, LaGov SRM, the LESA system, and LaGov Grants Management.

Responsibilities

Develop, monitor, and close out contracts and grant agreements in accordance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Enter new grants upon receipt of Notice of Award and manage award staff and end dates in LaGov and eGMS.

Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws, LDOE, and LASSD policies and procedures.

Serve as the chief liaison with all district departments, external stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.

Coordinate closely with the Administrative Program Manager and Administrative Program Specialist for contract, grant, and lease management.

Provide leadership and support for Title I, IDEA, ESSR, and other district programs, including oversight of periodic expense reporting and cost reimbursement.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher; advanced level degree preferred.

Minimum of five years of state finance experience.

LaGov experience and proficiency in LaGov SRM, eGMS, and the LESA system.

In-depth knowledge of the Louisiana Procurement Code, LaGov Grants Management, and regulatory requirements of the Office of State Procurement and the Department of Education.

Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills; ability to manage multiple complex projects and develop policy recommendations.
