Job Overview

Associate Director, MRO Services Procurement – Global Category Manager at Merck & Co., Inc. (MSD). Lead the development and execution of sourcing strategies for manufacturing equipment maintenance, operations, and repairs services (MRO Services) worldwide. Responsibilities

Develop and execute category strategies for MRO Services at global, regional, and local levels, primarily in the U.S. and Ireland. Lead cross‑functional teams through the sourcing management process; drive competitive sourcing events (RFQs, RFIs, RFPs) and support vendor selection, commercial negotiation, and contracting. Implement supplier relationship management to maximize performance, ensure contract compliance, and optimize supplier capability. Drive cost savings, value generation, tier 1 and tier 2 supplier diversity, and Scope 3 emissions reduction through strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, and supplier relationship management. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, engineering, or related field. Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, engineering, or manufacturing. Minimum 5 years of procurement experience with MRO services and category lead across multiple sites. Proven track record of developing category strategies that deliver cost savings and operational improvements. Proven track record of managing supplier relationships and governance across multiple stakeholders. Project management skills with experience leading sourcing initiatives from initiation to implementation. Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across global teams. Autonomous and self‑directed with a willingness to solve problems independently. Proficiency in English (written and spoken). Preferred Education & Experience

MBA or advanced degree. Experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $126,500 – $199,100. Eligible for annual bonus and long‑term incentive (if applicable). Hybrid work model: three on‑site days per week (Monday‑Thursday) with Friday remote.
