Mechanical Engineer
in Bangkok, Thailand for construction of
New US Embassy Office Annex and Embassy Upgrade
with State Dept. Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO).
Requires a US Govt. Secret Security Clearance.
This is an active position, not a proposal and you will be joining the team already on the ground. The Project
$400M Design/Build New Office Annex (NOX) and Embassy Upgrade New 14-story Office Annex (NOX) 39-bed Marine Security Guard Residence (MSGR) CACs (Consular and Pedestrian) 2-story Utility Building and 365 vehicle surface parking Upgrades and site improvements: CACs (main and service), new glazing, new doors, and interior finishing Internal perimeter walls and landscaping Project Duration & Benefits
Minimum commitment of 1 year; project expected to last 24‑36 months. Housing and transportation allowances provided. Uplift includes 10% of base salary plus 10% COLA. Benefits: medical, dental, vision, 30 days paid time off a year, round trip flights home. Position Description
Provide NEC project with full range of critical engineering, construction quality assurance, and technical oversight. Perform technical inspections of mechanical work, monitor construction contractor's quality control program, and review project drawings to ensure compliance. Observe onsite construction and determine if construction elements are being installed, formed, and executed properly. Monitor construction progress with regard to project schedule and submit weekly progress reports with recommendations based on technical review of project documents and field inspections. US Govt. Secret Clearance or higher US bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Current US PE license can substitute for degree 7 years construction experience ABET accredited international degree accepted in lieu of US bachelor’s or US PE Next Steps
