Our client, a leading organization in the autonomous mobility industry, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting vehicle design and serviceability initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem‑solving skills, effective communication, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully within the organization.

Mechanical Engineer - Serviceability
Location:
Foster City, CA
Pay Range:
$72/hour
What's the Job?
Partner with cross‑functional teams to drive Design for Serviceability (DFS) improvements.
Evaluate part and assembly designs from concept through manufacturing for accessibility, ergonomics, and feasibility of replacement.
Develop and maintain service part release strategies and Service BOM for spare parts planning.
Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to integrate components and electromechanical systems effectively.
Identify the need for specialized tooling, guide design, and oversee development to enhance serviceability.
What's Needed?
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
4-6 years of engineering experience within product design and manufacturing environments.
Proven experience in designing and developing products throughout their lifecycle.
Strong skills in 3D CAD software, with CATIA experience being a plus.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and communicate findings effectively.
