Position Overview:

As a Sustaining Engineer – Electrical, you’ll join a highly collaborative Engineering Department, supporting the Electrical Sustaining Team. In this critical role, you’ll lead corrective actions, implement design improvements, and work closely with cross‑functional teams to enhance the reliability and serviceability of advanced electrical subsystems in autonomous vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

Drive corrective action development for electrical subsystems—from root cause analysis through fleet‑wide implementation.

Lead design updates for components including connectors, harnesses, modules, and sensor integrations.

Collaborate with suppliers to deliver durable, manufacturable, and serviceable component enhancements.

Manage and author Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Change Actions (CAs).

Develop validation and test plans for electrical subsystems.

Conduct fleet trials and analyze post‑release performance to verify long‑term effectiveness of implemented changes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

6–8 years of experience in electrical systems engineering, particularly in product design and manufacturing environments.

Proven success implementing reliability or serviceability improvements in complex electro‑mechanical systems.

Proficient in 3D CAD tools (preferably CATIA); experience with Altium is a plus.

Strong background in DFMEA, root cause analysis, and validation testing for electrical systems.

Excellent problem‑solving, attention to detail, and communication skills.

Key Skills

Electrical Systems Engineering – 6–8 years in product design & manufacturing.

CAD Tools – Proficient in CATIA; Altium preferred for electrical design.

Root Cause & Reliability – Expertise in DFMEA, validation, and testing.

Change Management – Experience with ECRs, CAs, and design updates.
