Sitecore Architect / Sitecore Solution Architect / Technical Architect/ Lead Location:

New York City, NY (3 Days Onsite / Hybrid)

The Sitecore Architect leads the design and strategic direction of Sitecore-based digital solutions. This role bridges business goals with technology, working with stakeholders, development teams, and infrastructure to define scalable, maintainable, and robust Sitecore architectures. The architect ensures alignment with best practices and emerging trends in the Sitecore ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical leads to understand requirements, constraints, and business goals.

Architect end-to-end Sitecore solutions covering content management, personalization, analytics, integration, scaling, and deployment.

Define the overall technical roadmap, standards, and architecture principles for Sitecore implementations.

Lead design workshops, technical design reviews, and architectural governance.

Select modules, frameworks, and patterns (e.g. Helix, SXA, Headless / JSS) appropriate for use cases.

Provide guidance on integration with external systems (CRM, ERP, marketing, analytics).

Ensure security, scalability, performance, and maintainability of the solution.

Oversee migration strategies and upgrades.

Mentor and guide development teams, ensure code reviews and adherence to architecture.

Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, security, and operations teams to define deployment models, environment topology, and CI/CD.

Resolve high-severity technical issues and provide expert hands‑on support when needed.

Drive technology adoption and continuous improvement within the Sitecore domain.

Document architectural artifacts: solution diagrams, component designs, API specifications, platform constraints.

Required Skills & Experience

Deep experience with Sitecore (various modules, versions, XP stack, xConnect, CXP capability).

Strong software architecture background: microservices, APIs, integration patterns, data architecture.

Proficiency in .NET / C# and web technologies.

Experience with cloud architecture (Azure, AWS), containerization, scaling, failover, resilience.

Experience in designing/leading multi-site, multilingual, high-traffic digital platforms.

Strong knowledge of Sitecore best practices (Helix, modular architecture).

Experience migrating and upgrading Sitecore solutions.

Solid understanding of search infrastructure (Solr, Azure Search), caching, CDN, performance optimization.

Ability to communicate architecture to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Proven leadership, mentorship, decision-making, and negotiation skills.

Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, infrastructure-as-code.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

Sitecore certification(s) (e.g. Sitecore Certified Architect).

Experience with Headless / JSS / Composition / XM Cloud.

Experience in digital marketing, personalization, analytics, or digital experience platforms.

Experience in pre-sales, solutioning, RFP responses, POCs.

Typical Seniority / Years of Experience

Senior / Lead: 7+ years of software architecture, with significant experience in Sitecore

Principal / Enterprise Architect: 10+ years, with strategic vision, cross-portfolio responsibility
