Product Owner – Retail Analytics

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic
Product Owner
to drive the vision, execution, and client success of advanced analytics products. This role sits at the intersection of business strategy, technology, and client engagement. You will serve as the voice of the client, ensuring that solutions not only meet immediate needs but also anticipate the future of retail and demand forecasting.
This is a high‑visibility, client‑facing role, ideal for someone who thrives in complex product ecosystems and can translate evolving market needs into scalable, impactful solutions.
Responsibilities:
Define, prioritize, and communicate the product vision and roadmap for advanced forecasting, retail analytics, and enterprise data solutions.
Own the product backlog, ensuring alignment with client business goals, market dynamics, and technical feasibility.
Partner with data scientists, engineers, and designers to deliver innovative, production‑ready features.
*Client Engagement
Act as the primary product liaison with clients, translating business problems into actionable product requirements.
Lead client workshops and discovery sessions to uncover challenges in retail operations, inventory management, merchandising, and forecasting.
Build trusted advisory relationships with client stakeholders, ensuring product adoption and measurable business outcomes.
*Execution & Delivery
Manage end‑to‑end product delivery cycles across multiple streams, ensuring features are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality.
Balance short‑term delivery priorities with long‑term strategic investments in platform capabilities.
Drive continuous improvement by leveraging client feedback, product usage data, and market trends.
*Thought Leadership
Stay ahead of industry trends in retail, modern demand forecasting, AI/ML applications, and customer intelligence.
Serve as an internal and external evangelist for the product, contributing to client presentations, case studies, and industry events.
Success Profile:
Proven track record as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or equivalent role, ideally in enterprise or B2B SaaS environments.
Experience with retail, CPG, supply chain, demand forecasting, or advanced analytics platforms.
Strong understanding of agile product development and ability to work closely with cross‑functional engineering and data science teams.
Exceptional client‑facing skills—adept at building trust, managing expectations, and influencing senior stakeholders.
Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and storytelling abilities.
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred. You have strong commercial acumen that you can execute on to manage and grow revenue, work with purchase as well business.
You are an effective and credible storyteller with a strong ability to map client challenges to internal capabilities, regardless of the competency, and can link those conversations back to business outcomes.
You have excellent written, verbal and formal presentation skills allowing you to engage client audiences ranging from technical implementers up through Business and Technology C levels.
You thrive in a collaborative team atmosphere, while defining issues/hypotheses, performing complex analysis, and assisting with preparation and recommendations of solution alternatives.
Pay:
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:
147,000 - 182,000 . In addition, for the current performance period, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
As a full‑time employee of the company or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in the health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans in accordance with the plan documents, which may be amended from time to time. You will be eligible for benefits on the first day of employment with the Company. In addition, you are eligible to participate in the Company 401(k) Plan after 30 days of employment, in accordance with the applicable plan terms. The Company provides for 11 paid holidays and 12 weeks of Parental Leave. We also follow a “free time” PTO policy, allowing you the flexibility to take time needed for either sick time or vacation.
