Harbor Child Care is a licensed early childhood education program regulated by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (NYS OCFS). We provide high‑quality care and education for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, UPK, and school‑age children.
Position Overview
We are seeking an organized and dynamic
Program Coordinator
to join our team. This individual will work closely with the Center Director to support all program areas—Infant, Toddler, Pre‑K, UPK, and School‑Age—while also assisting with administrative responsibilities. Key Responsibilities
Assist in the daily operations of all classrooms, ensuring compliance with NYS OCFS regulations and program standards. Support teachers and staff in curriculum implementation, classroom management, and child engagement. Help coordinate scheduling, classroom coverage, and smooth transitions across programs. Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports as required by OCFS and program policies. Assist with family communications and support a positive experience for children and parents. Coordinate program activities, special events, and enrichment programs. Provide administrative support including data entry, scheduling, and filing. Qualifications
At least 2 years of experience in a licensed child care or early childhood education setting. Knowledge of NYS OCFS regulations. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with technology. High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Education, Recreation, or related field preferred. Monday to Friday, flexible availability required.
