Grant Portfolio Manager
Weill Cornell Medicine is seeking a Grant Portfolio Manager to provide centralized administrative and financial support to principal investigators in managing research portfolios.

Salary Range: $97,300.00 – $114,700.00
Job Summary Provides centralized administrative and financial support to Weill Cornell Medicine principal investigators in managing their research portfolios (both pre‑award and post‑award activities).
Responsibilities
Assist with preparation and development of administrative aspects of grant applications, including budgets and budget justifications; support formatting of proposals.
Support proposal submission, supplemental materials, progress reports, advance account, no‑cost extensions, and other grant‑related documentation.
Maintain repository of biosketches, support pages, and facilities forms.
Manage grant transfers for new and departing faculty.
Research and recommend new funding opportunities for faculty.
Coordinate with the Office of Sponsored Research Administration for account set‑up; verify accuracy of budget information within the financial system.
Perform variance analysis of budgets and expenditures and resolve discrepancies.
Manage recruitment/start‑up accounts; create financial projections; prepare fiscal year personnel distribution reports for faculty.
Perform salary allocations and approve purchasing and accounts payable transactions.
Verify grant account set‑ups and audit budget/project period information; perform subcontract set‑up and expense payment/tracking with contracts office and accounts payable.
Facilitate reporting requirements; advise faculty on due dates; reconcile accounts; contribute to administrative sections of technical reports.
Ensure compliance of departmental research effort reporting activities.
Process internal paperwork for research‑related agreements (Sponsored Research Agreements, Material Transfer Agreements, Data Use Agreements, Non‑Disclosure/Confidentiality Agreements).
Serve as liaison for training new staff.
Education Bachelor’s Degree required.
Experience
Master’s degree in business, public administration, or public health highly preferred.
Approximately five years of related experience with grants management; seven or more years highly desired.
Experience with federal and non‑federal sponsored research regulations and policies, including pre‑ and post‑award grant management.
Experience with a variety of award mechanisms, funding instruments, and sponsoring agencies preferred.
Active participant in a cross‑functional administrative office setting highly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Proficiency with MS Office Suite and database applications, especially MS Excel.
Knowledge of accounting principles.
Customer service‑oriented and able to work in a team environment.
Emotionally intelligent and comfortable working with varied personalities.
Licenses & Certifications
None required.
