Engineering Manager – Industrial Automation & Manufacturing

Job Type Full‑time
What You’ll Do Player (Hands‑On Engineering – ~50%)
Design, program, and commission industrial automation systems (PLC, HMI, VFD, motion control, robotics, etc.)
Collaborate with customers to define project scope and deliver high‑quality solutions
Perform quality inspections and drive continuous improvement in production
Document and implement engineering changes to improve accuracy and efficiency
Coach (Leadership & Support – ~50%)
Lead and develop a team of technicians and field service professionals
Manage production schedules, resolve bottlenecks, and ensure on‑time delivery
Provide technical support for field service and customer escalations
Support sales with technical expertise, quoting, and feasibility reviews
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
5+ years of engineering experience, ideally in industrial automation or manufacturing
Strong knowledge of electrical control systems and design tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD Electrical)
Proven leadership skills and a collaborative mindset
Ability to juggle multiple priorities with calm, methodical problem‑solving
Bonus Points For
Experience in controls engineering and field service
Familiarity with motion control, robotics, PLCs, HMIs, and industrial networking
A passion for mentoring and developing technical talent
