Senior Metrology Specialist – Novartis
The Senior Metrology Specialist is responsible for calibrations of equipment, managing and overseeing equipment change requests in a timely manner, coordinating vendors and facilitating instrumentation calibration/qualification with internal and external resources.
About the Role
Ensure effective and efficient calibration to meet Novartis quality standards and applicable CGMP regulations.
Facilitate instrumentation calibration/qualification with external vendors, internal and/or external resources, and local system owners.
Support preparation of equipment binders containing technical & qualification Novartis lifecycle documents, required vendor documents, IQ/OQ/PQ protocols, and summary reports for QC equipment qualification.
Ensure compliance with cGMP, regulatory regulations, and Novartis global and local equipment policy.
Develop and review appropriate SOPs and corresponding forms.
Perform all assigned activities within budget and schedule constraints.
Maintain communication flow within the Analytical Service team and with all stakeholders involved in the process.
Act as subject‑matter expert and provide support during audits and inspections.
Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $21.77 – $40.43 per hour, reviewed periodically based on skills and experience. Compensation includes performance‑based cash incentive and potential eligibility for annual equity awards. Minimum Requirements
High School degree required; BS/BA in Engineering, life sciences, or related field preferred.
3+ years of relevant experience, including calibration or related area.
Previous GMP experience and experience in the pharmaceutical industry required.
