Overview Playfly Sports is seeking a strategic, results‑driven
Account Executive (AE)
to lead revenue growth across the Colorado Rockies’ linear and digital media platforms. The AE will cultivate and manage agency and direct client relationships, using a consultative sales approach to consistently meet and exceed revenue targets.
Responsibilities
Drive new and incremental revenue across linear and digital media platforms by managing relationships with agencies and direct clients.
Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within target categories to expand the Rockies’ advertiser base.
Develop and maintain effective, multi‑tiered relationships with clients and agency partners within the media and advertising community.
Collaborate with internal teams—including Insights, Creative, and Pricing & Planning—to develop compelling sales proposals, customized packages, and innovative marketing solutions.
Serve as a consultative resource to clients and internal stakeholders by providing expert guidance on the Colorado Rockies’ linear and digital media assets.
Mentor and support Client Service Coordinator and Client Service Representative to strengthen overall team performance and development.
Attend client meetings, industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to build relationships and increase visibility of the Rockies’ media opportunities.
Foster collaborative partnerships with corporate sponsors and major media entities to explore cross‑promotional opportunities.
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; preferred majors include Sports Media, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
2–5 years of professional sales experience required.
1–3 years of experience specifically in media sales or corporate sponsorships is required.
Experience working within a sports or entertainment media environment is strongly preferred; TV sales experience is a plus.
Strong understanding of the sports industry and established relationships within relevant business sectors is highly desirable.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Strong analytical skills and familiarity with media metrics such as CPM, impressions, and site performance data.
Technologically savvy, with an ability to quickly adopt new platforms and tools relevant to media sales and campaign performance.
Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships, both internally and externally.
Travel & Physical Requirements
Primarily sedentary office setting; occasional travel may be required for client meetings, industry events, and team collaboration.
Compensation Base Pay Range: $100,000 – $110,000 USD
Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
