Job Summary

The Wellness Program Coordinator is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of wellness-focused programs, services, and facilities that support student success and community engagement. This role integrates health and wellness education with experiential learning opportunities by collaborating with faculty, students, and community partners. Responsibilities Oversee the development, coordination, and evaluation of wellness programs to enhance the student experience, including fitness, recreation, intramurals, club sports, outdoor adventure, and aquatics. Manage the daily operations of the East and West Campus Fitness Centers, ensuring safety, functionality, and quality programming. Develop and maintain policies and protocols for facility operations, recreation programs, and wellness services. Conduct regular facility maintenance and safety checks to ensure compliance and risk management. Supervise professional staff, instructors, and student employees, ensuring training, development, and high-quality service delivery. Oversee the Rock Wall and Challenge Course, including equipment supervision, enforcement of safety policies, and facilitation of climbing clinics and certifications. Coordinate certification courses in American Red Cross CPR, First Aid, and AED for the campus community. Partner with faculty to integrate wellness-focused service-learning projects into academic courses. Collaborate with Student Affairs, Housing, Athletics, and other departments to maximize resources and expand student engagement opportunities. Partner with Marketing & Communications (MarCom) to design and promote wellness programs, events, and campaigns aligned with trends in student health and wellness. Manage departmental budget, including procurement, staffing, and program expenses. Organize community-based wellness initiatives in partnership with local agencies, including workshops, screenings, and outreach events. Collect, analyze, and report assessment data to measure impact and support Title III program goals. Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Parks, Recreation, Sports Management, Business Administration, Public Health, or other related field. 3-5 years of progressive professional work experience in wellness, recreation & sports programming. Demonstrated success managing full-time personnel, student employees, and instructors in a variety of functional areas. Strong communication, customer service, and presentation skills. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be accepted. Preferred Qualifications
