Summary The 911 Communication Call Taker coordinates with the Communications Supervisor on a daily basis to ensure all assignments are completed. Demonstrate complete knowledge of the Communications center operations to include receiving, and processing requests for emergency medical service within the Grady EMS response zone. To provide the appropriate level of aid to 911 callers established by the International Academy of Emergency Medical Dispatch Protocol. Verification of patient location to include response zone (city and county). To enter in scheduled events and personnel into the CAD. To provide accurate patient information, and location, to responding Grady EMS units. Ensure all in service vehicles and equipment are in an acceptable state of readiness at all times. Employee will exemplify customer service behavior and timely responsiveness to co-workers, patients, clients, physicians, and vendors.
Qualifications
High school Diploma or GED required
Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD) Certification required within six (6) months of employment.
One (1) year experience in a high performance EMS 911 Communication Call Center preferred.
