Job Description
PeaceHealth is seeking a RN Cardiology OHVI 5 for a Full Time, 0.9 FTE, Day position to provide professional nursing direct patient care in compliance with professional practice and unit standards. Promotes a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach towards patients, families and all members of the care delivery team.
Hourly compensation is $49.30–$77.46; hiring rate dependent on qualifications, professional experience, work location, and/or terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Springfield is located at the southern end of the Willamette Valley, also known as Oregon wine country. Two rivers run through the community, the Willamette River and McKenzie River. Details of the Position
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care needs.
Documents patient care in the healthcare record according to established standards.
Directs and delegates care to other team members in accordance with their education, credentials, and demonstrated competence.
Ensures own professional effectiveness through education and professional development.
Participates in the development of and maintains established hospital policies, procedures and objectives, quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection prevention program.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What You Bring EDUCATION
Graduate of an approved school of nursing required.
BSN or current enrollment in BSN program preferred.
Specialty certification preferred.
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING
One year required: experience in an acute care facility OR successful completion of an approved training course/orientation and standard competencies within six months of hire.
One year preferred: previous cardiac nursing experience.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
Required: Registered Nurse.
Required Upon Hire: Basic Life Support.
Required: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) according to Resuscitation Training Completion Requirements policy.
OTHER SKILLS
Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age‑specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patient’s needs.
Show aptitude for positive interpersonal relationships and patient/family‑centered work environment.
Comfortable with interpreting and applying medical center philosophy, policies and procedures.
Basic computer skills.
Working Conditions Lifting
Patient handling no greater than 35 lbs. without assistive equipment.
Push/Pull: Frequently up to 45 lbs. force.
Perform hands‑on CPR at least 20 mins using 100‑125 lbs. of force (frequency seldom or occasionally).
Ability to move around area with frequent sitting; bending/stooping/squatting/reaching/kneeling frequently.
Lifting (non‑patient) up to 20 lbs. occasionally and 5 lbs. frequently.
Environmental Conditions
Exposure to biohazard, body fluids and airborne particles.
Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy environment.
Mental/Visual
Vision and hearing required within normal limits.
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
