Position Summary The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at University of South Florida is actively recruiting an open rank academic position within the Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery division. A board certified fellowship-trained urogynecologist will join our busy Urogynecology/URPS Division. Preference will be given to a candidate with academic experience and expertise to fill leadership roles within the division, including an open position for a URPS fellowship director.
Responsibilities
Clinical Care – Provide comprehensive urogynecology care, including ambulatory and inpatient services.
Education & Mentorship – Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows through clinical teaching, surgical training, and bedside instruction.
Fellowship Leadership – Serve as Program Director for the ACGME-accredited Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (URPS) fellowship. The Program Director must meet and maintain ACGME and institutional qualifications and be responsible for designing and implementing the educational curriculum, overseeing program administration, supervising and developing faculty educators, evaluating fellows, engaging in scholarship, and participating in departmental and university service.
Qualifications
MD or MD/Ph.D. from an accredited institution; board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery; completed a female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery fellowship.
Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service.
Must hold or be eligible for a full, unrestricted Florida Medical License; maintain credentials in the USF Health faculty practice plan and be a medical staff member in good standing at hospitals assigned to perform clinical duties.
Board certified fellowship-trained urogynecologist.
