Assess and manage patients with varying acuity and conditions across all age groups. Provide stabilization and emergency care, including triage, orthopedic splinting, cardiac pacing, cardioversion, defibrillation, ENT procedures, wound repair, complex medication administration, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, gynecological and obstetrical procedures and psychiatric emergency management. Administer, oversee and document medication administration. Prepare patients for discharge and coordinate post‑discharge needs. Demonstrate competent professional nursing practice and engage in opportunities for professional growth. Provide health care education and guidance to patients and families. Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. Previous ED experience within the last 2 years preferred, OR critical care experience within the last 2 years preferred, OR new graduate or RN without ED or critical care experience AND successful completion of the ED residency program. Current Healthcare BLS Certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification within sixty days of hire and maintained as current thereafter. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within twelve months of hire and maintained as current thereafter. Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC) within twelve months of hire and maintained as current thereafter. National Institutes of Health Strokes Scale (NIHSS) certification within six months of hire and maintained as current thereafter. Emergency Nurse Pediatric Certification (ENPC) OR Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within twelve months of hire and maintained as current thereafter. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and/or Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification preferred. Where You’ll Work
