Job Description The Vice President of Revenue Management is a key member of the Commercial Team responsible for leading revenue strategy across HM Alpha’s growing portfolio. Reporting directly to the EVP of Commercial, this role will develop and oversee the execution of revenue management practices to drive profitability, improve market share, and align with ownership and brand goals.

This leader will oversee a corporate team of Regional Revenue Managers that support most of the portfolio and will also work closely with property teams and brand partners to guide rate strategy, forecasting, inventory controls, and performance optimization. The ideal candidate brings systems experience from a combination of Marriott, Hilton, and Hyatt Brands, thrives in entrepreneurial environments, and can build and scale systems, processes, and teams in alignment with the company’s continued growth trajectory.

Responsibilities

Drive commercial excellence across all HM Alpha-owned and operated hotels, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and brand standards.

Lead the development and execution of comprehensive revenue management strategies that optimize room revenue, profitability, and market share.

Oversee short- and long-term revenue planning and provide strategic recommendations to the senior executive team based on data analytics, forecasting, and performance trends.

Monitor and evaluate industry trends, competitor performance, and market dynamics to proactively identify risks and opportunities.

Guide the integration of revenue, sales, marketing, and digital efforts into a unified, forward-thinking commercial strategy.

Ensure consistency and excellence in revenue management practices across the portfolio, championing innovation, continuous improvement, and scalable solutions.

Top-Line Performance Optimization

Collaborate with commercial team members and property leaders to implement property-specific pricing, inventory, and distribution strategies tailored to each market.

Support the development of sales, revenue, and marketing plans, setting performance targets and driving accountability for topline results.

Lead the rollout and communication of new revenue initiatives and optimization strategies to field teams and internal stakeholders.

Evaluate and refine key performance indicators and dashboards to support performance tracking, decision-making, and transparency.

Regularly report on portfolio-wide trends and insights, preparing executive roll-ups and recommendations that inform strategic direction.

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of corporate and property Revenue teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous learning.

Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and operations to ensure commercial strategies are aligned with company priorities and property needs.

Serve as a senior leader and culture carrier, championing connectedness, transparency, and responsiveness throughout the organization.

Drive process improvement initiatives with a growth mindset, leveraging technology, automation, and best practices to streamline operations and enhance field support.

Set and uphold HM Alpha’s standard of excellence, ensuring the revenue organization is equipped to meet evolving business needs across a diverse and growing portfolio.

Education and Training

Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Finance, or related field required.

MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field preferred.

Ongoing certifications in revenue management platforms and analytics tools required.

Skills and Abilities

Strategic thinker with strong analytical and decision-making skills.

Exceptional communication and presentation abilities with executive-level presence.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools.

Ability to balance short-term performance with long-term strategic planning.

Strong leadership and mentoring abilities, with a collaborative and team-oriented approach.

Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to build systems, tools, and talent from the ground up.

Comfortable managing changes and working in fast-paced, evolving environments.

Knowledge and Experience

Minimum 10 years of experience in hotel revenue management, including at least 3 years at a corporate or multi-unit level.

Demonstrated success managing revenue strategy across a variety of branded hotel portfolios (e.g., Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Hyatt).

Deep understanding of industry reporting tools including CoStar/Benchmark, Demand/Agency360, Kalibri Labs, Profit Sword.

Hands‑on experience with major revenue platforms and systems.

Familiarity with franchise and third‑party ownership structures and brand‑specific revenue protocols.

Track record of improving RevPAR index, optimizing channel mix, and driving revenue growth across diverse markets.
