Business Systems Analyst - Intermediate Join a world‑class academic healthcare system, UChicago Medicine, as a Business Systems Analyst at our medical campus in Hyde Park.

Base Pay Range $84,200.00/yr - $99,000.00/yr

Job Summary Under general supervision, the Business Systems Analyst – Intermediate performs data analysis, complex master data updates and creates reports/dashboards. Identify issues and opportunities in current system and process workflows and work with cross‑functional teams for continuous process improvements. Performs daily operational tasks in ERP and other supply chain information systems. Analyze, cleanse and standardize master data elements and improve data quality metrics. Monitor system jobs and integrations and ensure data flows efficiently between systems and business users. Develop and update process standard work documents to mitigate variations and errors and demonstrate a culture of process excellence. Formulates and defines systems change scope and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems. Perform functional and technical analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirement specifications.

Essential Job Functions

Perform Master Data updates and monitor integrations across supply chain information systems network

Extract and analyze data from various sources and communicate patterns and insights

Troubleshoot, fix and root cause technical errors and implement solutions to address core issues

Analyze and document business requirements

Create Oracle OTBI/BI, Tableau reports and Dashboards

Drive and support functional and technical projects with other departments

Revise existing (problematic) system logic

Evaluate most business implications of technology on the current business environment

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, Business Administration or related field

Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a similar role

Familiarity with tools and concepts of process improvement desired, including methods analysis, work sampling, statistical analysis, financial analysis and systems analysis

Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and verbal and written communication skills

Must be able to prioritize, organize and assess work to meet aggressive deadlines and to cope in a fast‑paced environment

Capable of working well in a diverse, multi‑disciplinary team and successfully interacting with others at all levels of the organization, including remote teams

Must have issue tracking and resolution skills

Solid skills in documenting and analyzing business processes

Proven skills in problem solving

Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and effective presentation skills

Experience developing presentations for project work

Ability to plan and facilitate meetings with diverse participants

Ability to maintain a professional attitude and demeanor in both normal and pressure situations

Ability to manage, optimize and automate information flow in supply chain information systems

Ability to query and analyze data from ERP, Inventory and Requisitioning systems, Data Warehouse and other supply chain information systems

Proven skills in using Excel, Tableau, SQL, Power BI and other Business Intelligence tools

Preferred Qualifications

Practical experience in a specific area of healthcare operations, healthcare research or healthcare teaching desired
