Compensation Salary: $105,000 - $115,000. Other Forms of Compensation: Benefits & Bonus Eligible.

Job Summary General Manager- Corporate Dining at Restaurant Associates, leading provider of dining and event catering for prestigious museums, performing arts centers and corporations. The General Manager will establish and maintain outstanding dining operations, aligning with budgets and client expectations. Top hospitality, relationship building, operational experience and exemplary leadership skills required.

This position requires Monday through Friday availability—weekends and holidays off.

Key Responsibilities

Manage in compliance with company policies and procedures, local/state/federal laws and regulations.

Participate in employee meetings, reviews and training programs.

Maintain established budgets and cost controls.

Establish and maintain rapport with staff, clients, guests and other departments.

Manage financial acumen for all areas, including financial reporting with sales reports, P&L reports, budgeting and cash handling.

Analyze and create trends for financial data.

Manage purchasing and inventory controls.

Plan menus in consultation with chefs.

Knowledgeable on HACCP controls with proper storage and use of food.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

Eight to ten years upscale food service experience, including six years at the management level.

Experience in personnel management: hiring, supervision, evaluation, succession planning.

Proven track record to achieve company goals in compliance with policies and procedures.

Excellent leadership and organizational skills, with attention to detail.

Supervisory, scheduling, training and coaching skills.

Effective problem solving and conflict management skills.

Ability to multi-task and stay on task in a constantly interrupted environment.

Experience in food purchasing, costs and inventory control.

Ability to create budgets, flash reports, financial targets and forecasts.

Knowledge of cash handling procedures and reconciliation of multiple cash banks.

Must be knowledgeable on HACCP controls with proper storage and use of food.

Monitor compliance with health and fire regulations regarding food preparation and serving.

Exceptional business etiquette and client relations.

Manages time effectively and prioritizes tasks to meet deadlines.

Conformity to the highest standards of personal integrity and ethical behavior.

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

ServSafe or Department of Health Certification a plus.
