Project Manager UCSF Health seeks a Project Manager to lead capital design and construction projects within a challenging healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

Manage all phases of capital projects, from scoping to closeout, on budgets ranging $5,000–$70,000,000.

Coordinate design staff, contractors, subcontractors and client stakeholders.

Lead scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and problem resolution.

Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and monthly cash‑flow reports.

Approve invoices and manage vendor contracts.

Implement LEAN processes and uphold project quality, cost and safety standards.

Support Senior Project Managers and Real Estate Assistant Project Managers as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Planning or related field.

3–5 years of experience managing all phases of capital projects.

Strong communication skills with stakeholders, contractors and consultants.

Experience managing contractors and ensuring compliance with scope and budget.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, project management software and CAD drawing programs.

Problem‑recognition, avoidance and resolution skills.

Leadership of multi‑discipline project groups on medium‑complex projects.

Preferred Qualifications

Professional license (Architecture, Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering).

Knowledge of California Building Codes and construction contract administration.

Experience with LEAN Construction, Project Delivery and MEPF.

Experience in university, research laboratory or medical center settings.

Experience using Primavera P6 or similar scheduling software.

Work Location & Schedule All UCSF Health locations in San Francisco. Required onsite work: at least 4 full days per week, with potential additional days.
